Bio: Lighta Soundboy is an artist, producer and dj. He started making music as a kid, when listening to records and trying to learn how to play along on a guitar. Soon, he began to deejay, which led him to write lyrics and also to music production. Together with fellow artists and friends, music has been released on tape, CD and vinyl. A publishing deal with a former EMI associate was signed eventually but put on the shelf by the artist. Lighta Soundboy’s debut EP Almighty Is Jah Jah has been released through Riverwater Publishing and happened to be produced mainly on the road, between Mama Africa, Asia and Europe.

The video was mainly shot at the Nubian Pyramids in Sudan, around Meroe, the former kingdom of Kush, from where the 25th dynasty of kemet (popularly known as ancient egypt) reigned. The tilte of the song has been chosen not only to cheer Africa in genral, the African diaspora and beyond, but also as a shoutout to Mama Africa Soundsystem, which was founded by Lighta’s friends from the Gambia.
