Luciano’s son killed in Kingston

In  a video post on social media, reggae singer Luciano is appealing for members of the public who have information on the death of his son to report the matter to the police.

“Dem kill mi son… The youth a go school and the man dem lay wait him… These culprits cyaan just get away, kill off innocent people and run gone hide and live like all is well,” said Luciano in the video clip with music producer Wayne Lonesome.

According to information from the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN), Menelik McClymont — the entertainer’s 19-year-old son — was stabbed several times on Saturday around 2:30 pm in the vicinity of Parkington Plaza on Half-Way-Tree Road, St Andrew.

It is believed there was more than one assailant. McClymont was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

The St. Andrew Central police are investigating.
“Me hear say dem drive off inna a car. Anyone who have any information leading up to this. These youths haffi be apprehended,” said Luciano.

Luciano (given name Jephter McClymont) is known for his spiritual reggae hits including Lord Give Me Strength, It’s Me Again Jah and Sweep Over My Soul. The 51-year-old was recently nominated for Best Reggae Album for his set Zion Awake.
